When we took Lily swimming in Las Vegas earlier this summer, she hated it. She wouldn't get in the water, or really anywhere near it. Yet for some reason, she was fascinated by the pool in New York. There was nothing special about it; a large rectangle that at the deep end was only 5 feet. The second night after dinner she walked circles around the pool. She got her feet in but didn't really want water above her ankles.

The following afternoon, after naps, we went out for a walk thinking she would do the same. The water was quite cool, but she got in another step and splashed and kicked and stomped around.

Daddy ran upstairs, put on his suit, and brought Lily's down for her. She fussed some, but overall loved playing in the water with her daddy.

Can you tell I said "Say cheese?"
